Round 1, Challenge #3: "Of Old Dogs and New Tricks"

Title: Of Old Dogs and New Tricks
Rating: PG
Word Count: 573
Summary: Jaejoong doesn't feel that Yunho has grown out of his habits and Jaejoong is almost certain to try to fix him (and mess up, just a little).
Warnings: None

"Yunho, can you turn off the-"

Jaejoong blinks as Yunho cocks his head to the side, a familiar smile on his face.

"Uh... huh..." the elder hesitates, "Yeah, so... I need you to-"

Jaejoong's mouth hangs open for a second and a slow, lazy, oh shit, not again crawls across his mind. Yunho clamps his hands over his ears and cocks his head to the other side, bird-like amusement on his face.

"I can't hear you!"

"I can't hear you!"

"I can't hear you!"

"I can't-"

"Shut up! It wasn't funny when we were trainees. It wasn't funny when were twenty. Guess what? It's STILL not funny!"

Jaejoong stomps away like so many times before, ignoring the half-chuckled calls behind him. He's not really mad- just a touch annoyed- and most of his annoyance is all pretense anyways.

When it came down to it, Jaejoong could never really condemn Yunho for his version of ageyo tactics, but he really needed to do something about the habit.

There was just something about men in their thirties- even ones so handsome and cute as Yunho - that just struck him as vaguely... creepy.

The once-main vocal of the legendary Dong Bang Shin Ki, purses his lips and exhales sharply through his nose as he closes their bedroom door behind him. Ten years should have been enough for Yunho to outgrow his ageyo-isms, right?

Jaejoong set his jaw. Even if it wasn't long enough, it was time for Jaejoong to take personal action. The time frame totally justified it... err... sort of.

Jaejoong does well to scurry down the hall to consult with his dongsaengs before making his move. He wasn't sure his own methods would get the point across, and, knowing his dongsaengs, they would have some trick up their sleeves to safely eliminate the habit without it all crashing down on Jaejoong's head in a flurry of "what-the-hell-are-you-talking-about"s and "get-to-the-point-already-Boo"s.

He corners them one by one to answer his plight.

Changmin, ever the trickster with his sharp wit, suggests a behavioral training regimen.

(You're telling me to just because I idea how to do it, aren't you. -Why don't you call me hyung, and we'll see? -I hate you.)

Yoochun laughs when he asks, obviously amused, before calming himself down and shrugging noncommittally while telling him to leave some subtle, but not too subtle.

(Subtle as in? -You could always hide notes at the bottom of his food during dinner... -And that's subtle... how? -Hey, you asked for my advice; don't turn on me. -Fine, don't help me then.)

And Junsu, the one who's known Yunho for the longest and has never been refused a thing by the former leader, smiles mischievously.

(Threaten him. No kisses and no sex until he breaks the habit. - That's cruel! -You asked what would do it and -I meant to me!)

In the end, he kind of blurts it all out in one go and freezes when he realizes what he's done. He grimaces, waiting for the worst.

It never comes. Yunho is thoughtful instead.

"Really, Boo? I'm sorry... ugh, and I've been doing it for almost 15 years now... God, I'm so sorry."

The taller man sweeps him up into a hug, kissing the top of his head and he smiles.

Jaejoong almost forgot about old dog trick number two: Yunho never refuses a thing Jaejoong says.
